The Air Jordan 4 GS “Fear” is a Grade School iteration of one of the most mysterious and stylishly executed colorways in Jordan history. Originally part of the “Fear Pack” that released in 2013, the release centers on an inner battle: the fear of failure versus the courage to succeed — a theme that perfectly mirrors Michael Jordan's career.
The upper is constructed from a gradient of black to dark grey suede , with subtle white stitching adding structure. Cement print details on the midsole reference classic AJ4 elements, while white accents on the lining, laces and Jumpman logos break up the dark colour palette. A subtle speckled effect on the midsole gives the sneaker extra flair without going overboard.
The shoe features an Air-Sole unit in the heel for responsive cushioning, and a chunky rubber outsole with a herringbone tread for traction. While the sneaker's message is one of adulthood, its execution is also perfectly suited for young sneakerheads with an eye for detail and storytelling.
