Following the success of their previous collaborations on the Air Jordan 1, the AJ4 received a unique makeover that combines classic elements with high fashion and functional innovation .
The upper is constructed with a mix of soft suede and mesh in Off Noir (a deep, almost dull black hue), with accents of Light Fusion Red and Brigade Blue . A dropped, stitched tongue — a Union signature — provides a streamlined look, but can be detached to restore the classic AJ4 profile. The yellowed midsole and eyelets give the shoe a vintage feel that fits in with Union’s vision of “aging as value.”
