In honor of the Air Jordan 5’s 35th anniversary, Jordan Brand is releasing a reimagined version of one of its most beloved colorways, the “Black Metallic.” This Reimagined edition maintains the heritage of the 1990 original but adds subtle modern touches that take the sneaker to the next level.
The upper is made of premium black nubuck , which offers a luxurious look and durability. The signature reflective 3M tongue with a Fire Red Jumpman logo provides a striking contrast and increased visibility. The white laces are a nod to how Michael Jordan wore the AJ5 on court back in the day.
The midsole is finished in black with metallic silver “shark tooth” accents , a design inspired by World War II fighter planes. The visible Air unit in the heel offers excellent cushioning and comfort. The transparent outsole provides grip and a modern look.
