The Air Jordan 5 SP “Off-White – Black” is the result of Virgil Abloh’s Off-White™ and Jordan Brand’s first collaboration on the iconic Jordan 5 silhouette. Released during All-Star Weekend 2020, this iteration is a bold and experimental reinterpretation of the AJ5 that rips open the classic design and rebuilds it according to Virgil’s industrial-futuristic vision.

The upper is constructed from deconstructed black textile with a technical, translucent finish. Signature circular cutouts – on the tongue and sidewall – are both visually distinctive and functional, pushing the boundaries between conceptual design and performance. The shoe’s signature Off-White Helvetica text can be found on the inside of the shoe, complete with a reference to Nike’s Beaverton headquarters.

The tongue is made of reflective 3M material , finished with a bright red Jumpman. The laces come with the recognizable “SHOELACES” script and the signature red zip-tie is of course not missing. The yellowed sole and midsole give the sneaker a worn, vintage look that fits perfectly with the aesthetic of Virgil's “Reconstructed Reality” approach.
