The Nike Air Max 1/97 "Sean Wotherspoon" is the result of a unique collaboration between Nike and vintage enthusiast Sean Wotherspoon. This sneaker combines the upper of the Air Max 97 with the sole of the Air Max 1, resulting in a striking and innovative design. The upper is made of colorful corduroy, inspired by vintage Nike caps from the '80s, and is composed of layers in hues such as yellow, pink, blue and green. Unique details include removable velcro tongue patches, embroidered mini Swooshes and a "VA → LA" heel embroidery, a reference to Wotherspoon's roots in Virginia and his current home base in Los Angeles.
